United States Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said Operation Epic Fury has caused major damage to Iran's military capabilities, declaring that American forces have carried out devastating and precise strikes against naval assets, missile sites and air defenses. Speaking alongside Central Command Commander Admiral Brad Cooper, Hegseth said the campaign has established dominance in the air and at sea and warned that Iran's leadership is misjudging American resolve.

Hegseth stated that the United States has ample weapons and authority to continue the fight and signaled that additional combat power is on the way. He emphasized that the operation is expanding and will proceed on a timeline determined solely by the United States, adding that coordination with Israeli forces remains strong.

Cooper said the mission has entered its sixth day, with hundreds of targets struck across Iran, including facilities near Tehran and deeply buried ballistic missile launchers. He reported sharp declines in Iranian missile and drone attacks and said more than 30 Iranian naval vessels have been destroyed, including a large drone carrier ship.

The campaign is now shifting toward dismantling Iran's missile production infrastructure and degrading its command capabilities, including space and missile operations. Cooper said joint United States and Israeli forces will continue the offensive until Iran's ability to threaten Americans and project power abroad is decisively reduced.
