Iran's deputy foreign minister said that no date has been set for the next round of peace talks between Iran and the United States after the first round failed to produce results. Speaking at a diplomatic forum in Antalya, Turkey, Saeed Khatibzadeh emphasized that discussions are still focused on agreeing to a basic framework before any further meetings are scheduled.
He stated that both sides are working to finalize an understanding that would guide future negotiations. According to Khatibzadeh, Iran does not want to participate in talks that could fail again and potentially lead to further tensions.
The negotiations are being brokered by Pakistan, but progress remains dependent on reaching agreement over the structure and terms of future discussions.
