King Abdullah of Jordan met with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in Amman to discuss ongoing regional developments and efforts to strengthen joint Arab action. Their talks focused on sustaining de-escalation amid heightened tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
The king stressed that any regional de-escalation agreement must guarantee the security of Arab states, highlighting that the safety of Gulf nations is vital to both regional and global stability. Jordan recently condemned drone attacks launched by Iranian-backed groups in Iraq targeting sites along Kuwait's northern border.
King Abdullah also underscored the importance of supporting Lebanon's security and stability and preventing attempts to change the situation in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza. Senior Jordanian officials, including Crown Prince Hussein and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, attended the meeting.
