The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has described the situation in Gaza as a 'hell on earth' as the Israeli assault continues. The Israeli bombardment has killed over 1,500 people and forced nearly 400,000 people to move. Israel has also imposed a complete blockade on the entry of food, medical supplies, and all other goods. The ICRC is calling for a renewal of the ceasefire and for the international community to uphold basic international law.
