Jewish World War I soldiers buried under Arlington crosses have headstones reconsecrated with Stars of David

Two Jewish World War I veterans buried under Latin Crosses at Arlington National Cemetery have had their headstones reconsecrated with Stars of David. Private David Moser and Adolph Hanf, who both fought and died for their country, were mistakenly marked with crosses on their gravestones despite being Jewish. Operation Benjamin and over 100 attendees, including politicians and officials, gathered at Arlington to correct the historic mistake and honor the two American patriots. The unveiling of the new gravestones with Stars of David was accompanied by the recitation of the Mourners Kaddish, the Jewish prayer for the dead.
