Germany's Ministry of Defense has announced a program to modernize its military weaponry, with a focus on procuring loitering munitions. Israeli companies UVision and IAI have formed partnerships with German firms Rheinmetall and MBDA to supply the German Army with suicide drones. The decision represents a strategic shift in how new weapon systems are adopted and integrated into operational use. The partnership with Rheinmetall will enable swarm attacks and the ability to launch from both land and sea platforms.
