The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy has alleged that the group receives funding linked to organizations accused of supporting Hamas and endorses violence against Israelis. Lawmakers have also been skeptical of the group, with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis directing state universities to disband SJP chapters.
