Gwyneth Paltrow reflected on the 'devastation' of losing a plum part in a Woody Allen film when she was around 19. 'It was my dream to be in a Woody Allen movie,' the 52-year-old Goop CEO-founder told The World's First Podcast With Erin & Sara Foster on Thursday. Neither Gwyneth nor the other woman wound up getting the role and she thought her 'career was over,' but when she discovered who got it she scoffed to her famous mother Blythe Danner that the actress was 'not even that good.' That's when the 82-year-old Tony winner scolded Paltrow: 'Don't you ever disparage another woman. If you don't get a part that just means it wasn't your part. And there will be parts for you, but don't hold on to the energy of something [being] yours if it's not yours. You will be miserable in life.'
