Workers in the UK could save over 120 hours a year by using AI in administrative tasks, according to a pilot scheme conducted by Google. The tech giant's report suggests that simple steps such as providing training and permission to use AI could double the adoption of the technology and boost economic growth. The scheme also found that two thirds of workers, particularly older women from lower socio-economic backgrounds, had never used generative AI at work. However, concerns about the legitimacy and fairness of using AI in their job were barriers to adoption.
