Organizers of the upcoming Eurovision ceremony in Basel have announced that audiences will be allowed to wave all flags, including the Palestinian flag, as long as they do not violate Swiss law. This new flag policy also permits the waving of pride flags and flags of non-participating countries. However, singers participating in the contest are only allowed to display the flag of their country on stage and are prohibited from displaying pride flags or flags of other countries at all official events. Violations of the flag policy may result in disqualification from the contest.
