Israeli jets bombed Beirut's southern suburbs yesterday - marking the third strike on the area since a ceasefire took effect in late November. A huge plume of smoke billowed over buildings after the attack but there were no immediate reports of casualties. Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun called on the US and France, as guarantors of the ceasefire, to 'assume their responsibilities' and pressure Israel to halt its attacks.
