North Korea has admitted to sending troops to assist Russia in its conflict with Ukraine, following an order from Kim Jong Un. The troops played a crucial role in reclaiming Russian territory previously held by Ukrainian forces. This move was made under the framework of a strategic partnership treaty signed between Kim and Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2024. North Korea has sent around 14,000 soldiers to the battlefield, including reinforcements to make up for losses.
