7-year study links prolonged sitting to hidden cognitive health risks

A recent study published in the journal Alzheimer's & Dementia revealed that prolonged sitting can lead to brain volume shrinkage and cognitive decline, even among individuals who exercise regularly. Over seven years, researchers monitored 404 volunteers aged 50 and above, finding that excessive sitting time can impact memory and decision-making areas of the brain.
