South African mother Kelly Smith, her boyfriend Jacquen Appollis, and their friend Steveno Van Rhun were convicted and sentenced for trafficking Smith's 6-year-old daughter Joshlin. Witnesses testified that Smith sold Joshlin to a traditional healer for her 'eyes and skin'. The trio received a life sentence for the abduction and trafficking of the young girl.
