Deputy Minister Uri Maklev and Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri worked to prevent immediate imprisonment of Torah students by shooting down a bill to dissolve the Knesset. The goal was to protect yeshiva students from the risk of arrest and ensure they could continue studying Torah without fear of sanctions.
