A Portland man has been sentenced to five years in prison for making a series of violent threats against Jewish-affiliated health care facilities in New York. Between May and September 2021, Domagoj Patkovic placed at least six threatening phone calls to hospitals and nursing homes, using antisemitic language and threatening to bomb the institutions. In addition to the calls, he live-streamed some of the threats on a messaging platform, where he was watched and encouraged by others. The sentencing comes after Patkovic admitted to his actions, which deeply alarmed the targeted communities.
