Elbit Systems has secured a $260 million contract to provide its J-MUSIC directed infrared countermeasures system for the German Air Force's A400M transport aircraft. The systems, designed to protect against infrared-guided missiles, will be delivered over the next six years. This procurement follows a recent order to equip the German government's Airbus A350 with the same defense technology. Elbit's countermeasure solutions are already in use by various military and government clients worldwide, including several European and South American countries.
