French court orders trial for six suspects in 1982 terror attack on Jewish deli

A French terrorism court has ordered six suspects to stand trial for the 1982 attack on the Jo Goldenberg restaurant in Paris, which resulted in six deaths and 22 injuries. The attack, considered the deadliest antisemitic assault in France since the Second World War, involved grenades and gunfire targeting diners at the Jewish deli. Four of the accused remain abroad and may be tried in absentia, while two are in French custody. The suspects are believed to have been members of a Palestinian group responsible for numerous deadly attacks in the 1980s. Families of the victims and survivors view the upcoming trial as a significant moment in their long pursuit of justice.
