National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir visited the Temple Mount on the fast of Tisha B'Av, accompanied by thousands of Jewish visitors who prayed, sang, and danced at the site. Police, following the minister's policy, allowed Jewish worshippers to sing and pray freely in various areas, including prostration in the eastern part. During the visits, police did not intervene with the Jewish groups, but did remove and arrest an Arab individual who shouted at one of the groups. Associates of the minister highlighted this as a historic shift, emphasizing the policy of allowing freedom of worship for Jews at the Temple Mount and rejecting any form of discrimination.
