A disabled veteran of Operation Protective Edge, struggling with post traumatic stress, attempted to break into the Rehabilitation Division offices in Haifa after pouring an unidentified liquid on himself. Security guards intervened, preventing him from entering the facility and calming him down before police and medical personnel arrived. The 32-year-old veteran, who has been under the care of the Rehabilitation Division since 2014, was taken for psychiatric evaluation at Rambam Medical Center. The Defense Ministry stated that while the veteran has declined psychological treatment in recent years, he continues to receive financial support and assistance.
