The gathering brought together leaders from both Israel and abroad to discuss a unified response to what Rabbi Lando's household described as a 'declaration of war' by the State of Israel against Torah students. The arrests of brothers Refael and Baruch Itzhakov, who received prison sentences from a military court, served as the immediate catalyst for the meeting. Rabbi Lando warned that if the situation escalates, haredi communities worldwide would join in a global struggle.
