Vaturi voiced concern that remarks attributed to Zamir were cited by foreign leaders, including the German chancellor, as justification for Germany's recent weapons embargo on Israel. He claimed that Zamir's reported reservations about ongoing military operations in Gaza have been misinterpreted abroad, causing significant harm to Israel's position. Vaturi called for an end to the leaking of sensitive information, warning that it undermines the country's war effort.
