Y.S. Leafy Vegetables has announced a recall of its red cabbage and salad mix products after routine testing revealed the presence of Salmonella bacteria in the 'Katif Hateva' red cabbage. The affected items, which include 400g packages with an expiration date of August 28, 2025, should not be consumed by the public. The recall is being conducted in coordination with the Health Ministry's Food Service to ensure consumer safety.
Salmonella infection can cause serious intestinal illness, particularly in vulnerable groups such as young children, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems. The company has stated it is implementing additional measures to prevent future contamination and safeguard public health.
