The Israeli military and security services have recovered the body of Ilan Weiss, a hostage who was held in Gaza. The operation also retrieved remains believed to belong to another hostage, whose identity is currently under investigation at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine. Families of both hostages have been informed of the developments.

Ilan Weiss' daughter, Noga, was abducted alongside her mother on October 7 from Kibbutz Be'eri and released after fifty days in captivity. She recently enlisted in the Israeli military as a social welfare soldier, several months after her release and the announcement of her father's death.
