Pro-Palestine protesters staged a blockade at Port Melbourne on Monday afternoon, preventing trucks from entering the area and causing significant traffic congestion. Around 18 activists from the Whistleblowers, Activists and Communities Alliance participated, with some sitting on camp chairs and others attaching themselves to barrels painted in Palestinian flag colours. The group is calling for Australia to end all trade with Israel, claiming the government has not taken meaningful action and that most Australians support sanctions. Victoria Police attended the scene as the demonstration continued to disrupt port operations.
