Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir has expanded the list of municipalities whose residents are eligible to apply for a private firearms license. The newly included areas are Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi, Gan Yavne, the Megiddo Regional Council, and Tel Mond. This move follows collaborative efforts between the police and the ministry, and comes in response to a rise in security incidents nationwide. As a result, around one hundred thousand more citizens will now be able to seek a firearms license.
