Scientists at Hyderabad's National Institute of Nutrition have recommended a new labelling system to help consumers make healthier food choices. The front-of-package nutrition labels (FOPNLs) include formats like nutri-score, high-star rating, and warning labels to indicate the nutritional content of packaged foods. The aim is to reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases like obesity, diabetes, and hypertension.
