Families of Israelis murdered in terrorist attacks are being notified that the perpetrators responsible for their loved ones' deaths will be released as part of a newly approved hostage deal. The notices are being delivered by National Insurance employees for civilian victims, and by representatives of the military, police, and security agencies for fallen soldiers.

The government approved the framework for releasing all hostages, both living and deceased, leading to a ceasefire in Gaza. The decision saw some ministers voting against the deal, while others supported it. American envoys participated in the meeting, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighting the significance of the development and the international cooperation involved.

As part of the agreement, 250 terrorists serving life sentences are expected to be released.
