Indonesia has announced it will block Israeli athletes from participating in the upcoming World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Jakarta, citing directives from President Prabowo Subianto and widespread public opposition. Despite previous assurances to the Israeli Gymnastics Federation, Indonesia's gymnastics body has withdrawn its sponsorship, and the government will not grant visas to Israeli gymnasts. The International Gymnastics Federation acknowledged the situation but did not move to relocate the event, while Indonesia reaffirmed its support for Palestinian statehood and its longstanding policy of not maintaining diplomatic relations with Israel.
