The Israeli military launched strikes against Hamas in Gaza after accusing the group of violating a ceasefire agreement with multiple attacks on Israeli forces. Israeli officials stated that Hamas targeted troops with rocket-propelled grenades and sniper fire in areas Israel had withdrawn from under the terms of the agreement.
