Police in the Northern District have discovered the body of a 93-year-old Holocaust survivor buried in her home's yard in Karmiel. Authorities suspect that her daughter and the daughter's partner concealed her death for several months to continue receiving reparations intended for Holocaust survivors from Germany. The investigation began after concerns were raised about the elderly woman's wellbeing, and conflicting statements from the daughter and her partner led police to search the property. The daughter, aged 64, has been arrested and is suspected of fraud, obstruction of justice, and failing to fulfill a legal obligation.
