A senior neurosurgeon in Austria is facing trial after reportedly allowing her 12-year-old daughter to place her hand on a surgical drill during an emergency brain operation. The incident, which occurred last January, was revealed through hospital rumors and an anonymous letter after the surgeon allegedly boasted about her daughter's involvement. Although the patient was not harmed, prosecutors described the act as a serious breach of medical ethics and patient dignity. Both the surgeon and another doctor involved have been dismissed from their positions.
