The court is examining whether the executives were complicit in crimes against humanity or genocide by selling steel to Israel Military Industries, a subsidiary of Israel's largest arms manufacturer. The investigation follows a complaint from a Palestinian association and comes after Spain formally enacted an arms embargo against Israel. Sidenor has suspended commercial ties with Israel and pledged to cooperate with the court, while the company itself is not under investigation due to whistleblower cooperation.
