Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced that Malaysia is ready to join a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Gaza, working alongside other countries, including members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The announcement was made during a meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General at the ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian cause and welcomed recent international legal decisions regarding the situation in Gaza. This offer comes as a ceasefire agreement is being implemented in Gaza, with international efforts underway to stabilize the region. Malaysia, which does not have diplomatic relations with Israel, has also taken steps such as banning Israeli-flagged ships from its ports in response to the conflict.
