Settler attacks on Palestinians in West Bank hit all-time high in October -- UN

Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank reached a record high in October, with at least 264 incidents reported, according to the United Nations. This marks the highest monthly total since tracking began in 2006, averaging eight attacks per day and resulting in casualties and property damage. The United Nations highlighted that over 1,500 such attacks have occurred this year, accounting for about 15 percent of all incidents since 2006. The violence, which often escalates during the olive picking season, has seen little police intervention and coincides with a broader surge in tensions following recent events in the region. Additionally, the United Nations reported that 42 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank so far this year, representing one in five Palestinian deaths in the territory in 2025.
