Muslim-majority Albania has officially joined the global Israel Allies Foundation network by launching the Albanian Parliamentary Israel Allies Caucus in Tirana. This new caucus, co-chaired by Members of Parliament Romina Kuko and Gazmend Bardhi from opposing political parties, highlights Albania's historic friendship with the Jewish people and its ongoing support for Israel. During the launch, MPs signed a resolution affirming their commitment to stand with Israel, oppose antisemitism, and defend Jerusalem.
Albania's legacy of protecting Jews during World War II and its continued stance against antisemitism were emphasized by both Albanian leaders and representatives of the Israel Allies Foundation. The caucus aims to advance faith-based diplomacy, strengthen bilateral ties, and promote shared democratic values. The initiative reflects a rare cross-party consensus and marks a significant step in Albania's evolving relationship with Israel on the international stage.
