Plans to redevelop the Nicholsons Shopping Centre in Maidenhead have been approved, paving the way for a £500 million transformation. The project will replace much of the existing centre with 856 new homes and 55 retail units. A new public square, named after Sir Nicholas Winton, is set to become a focal point for the town. The approval is contingent on an agreement that includes financial contributions to enhance local car parks.
