India and Israel have signalled a renewed commitment to strengthening their economic partnership following high-level meetings in Jerusalem. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, with both sides expressing intent to deepen cooperation in trade, technology, and investments. This comes as formal negotiations for a free trade agreement, which have been under discussion since 2013, gain new political momentum. The leaders described the relationship as a strategic partnership, emphasizing the potential for increased innovation and connectivity between India and Europe.
