Egyptian officials have stated that a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will only be possible if Israel changes its approach to the Palestinian issue and completely halts any discussion of forced migration of Palestinians. The officials emphasized that such migration would threaten Egypt's security and undermine the Palestinian cause. Cairo reportedly learned of a United States initiative to arrange talks between the two leaders only through media reports, without direct communication from Washington. They also clarified that Netanyahu's attendance at a Gaza agreement ceremony would not equate to an official meeting unless Israel's policies change.
