Victoria premier booed at Melbourne vigil amid ire at Labor party over Bondi attack

Victoria's Premier Jacinta Allan faced boos and heckling at a Hanukkah vigil in Melbourne, as members of the Jewish community expressed anger over government policies they believe contributed to the recent Bondi Beach attack. Allan, a leader in the ruling Labor Party, attended the candle lighting and memorial event but did not speak, while other politicians, including Opposition Leader Jess Wilson, received a warmer reception. The largest applause was given to the Community Security Group, recognized for protecting Jewish institutions. Vigils and memorials were held across Melbourne and Australia as communities mourned the victims of the deadly attack at Bondi Beach.
