Israeli defense electronics company Elbit Systems has reportedly signed a massive $2.3 billion deal with the United Arab Emirates, according to Intelligence Online. The agreement, which Elbit initially kept shrouded in secrecy regarding both its contents and the purchasing country, will be carried out over eight years. While details remain limited, the deal is believed to be similar in scope to Elbit's previous agreement with Serbia, which included advanced artillery rocket systems, unmanned aerial combat platforms, and intelligence capabilities.
This latest contract is considered historic in size and joins a string of major deals by Israeli defense firms in recent years. Notable transactions include the sale of the Arrow 3 system to Germany for $3.5 billion and Rafael's recent win of a Romanian air defense tender valued at $2.2 billion. The growing list of high-value agreements highlights the increasing demand for Israeli defense technology on the global stage.
