Mohammed Mahamid, a senior government employee and Imam in Jaffa, was arrested after leading a violent riot and inciting participants with racist slogans. The unrest followed an incident where Jewish youths attacked a pregnant woman with tear gas, escalating tensions in the city. Instead of calming the situation, Mahamid led a march of hundreds, chanting against Jews. Following his release under restrictive conditions, calls have been made for his immediate dismissal from public service, and he has been summoned for a disciplinary hearing by the Ministry of Interior.
