British police have closed their investigation into anti-Israel Defense Forces remarks made by punk duo Bob Vylan during their Glastonbury Festival performance in June. Authorities determined that the evidence did not meet the criminal threshold for prosecution, after reviewing statements, interviewing a man in his mid-30s, and consulting with around 200 members of the public. The incident, which included chants of 'death, death to the Israel Defense Forces', drew condemnation from political leaders and the Israeli Embassy, and led to criticism of the BBC for livestreaming the set. Following the controversy, Bob Vylan faced bans from entering the United States and was dropped from several tours and venues.
