Dozens of presenters at the IDF radio network Galei Tzahal were informed by the Defense Ministry that their employment will be suspended starting January 1st. The affected presenters, including Rino Tzror and Sefi Ovadia, work as consultants and received official notices of suspension. The Galei Tzahal Employees' Board warned that this move will severely disrupt the broadcast schedule and described it as the beginning of the station's dismantlement. In response, the Defense Ministry stated that no instruction to terminate employment was given and clarified that consultant contracts are being extended as part of an annual process, with the station scheduled to close in February 2026.
