The Israeli Air Force has reversed a previous decision to shut down one of its two Apache attack helicopter squadrons, a move that would have significantly reduced its fleet. In light of recent conflicts, the Air Force is now expanding its capabilities and has begun acquiring new Apache Echo helicopters from the United States. The Border Defense Division, established after the events of October 7, is leading these procurement efforts to bolster Israel's aerial defense and response capacity.
