A soldier reported his weapon stolen after falling asleep on a bus in northern Israel. Police quickly launched an investigation and, with help from a bus driver who spotted a suspicious man carrying a long weapon, identified and arrested a suspect from the town of Maghar. The suspect, in his 40s, allegedly fled the bus at Hanania Junction and hid the weapon in an open area before being apprehended. Authorities recovered the stolen weapon and plan to seek an extension of the suspect's detention at a court hearing.
