Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has departed Israel for Florida, where he will meet with United States President Donald Trump to discuss the future of the Gaza Strip and escalating tensions with Hezbollah and Iran. The talks are expected to address the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire, which includes plans for a Palestinian technocratic government and the deployment of an international force as Israeli troops withdraw.
Both Israel and Hamas have yet to formally agree to the second phase of the ceasefire, with ongoing disputes over hostage returns and border crossings. Netanyahu's visit also comes amid rising concerns in Israel over Iran's missile production and renewed threats to resume hostilities with Hezbollah if disarmament deadlines are not met.
During his stay, Netanyahu will meet with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio and attend events with religious and community leaders, before returning to Israel on Thursday.
