Four women between the ages of 44 and 75 underwent robotic surgery to receive artificial urinary sphincters at Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, marking the first time this procedure has been performed on women in Israel. The surgeries were conducted after other treatments for severe incontinence had failed, offering new hope for patients with this challenging condition. Although the implantation of artificial urinary sphincters is more common in men, it remains a rare option for women and is available at only a few hospitals globally. The success of these operations highlights a significant advancement in women's health care within the country.
