The Diaspora Affairs Ministry has announced a new partnership with a prominent United States Reform synagogue to support its rabbinical fellowship program, aiming to deepen ties between Israel and American Jewish communities. The Stephen Wise Free Synagogue's Amplify Israel fellowship recently brought 24 rabbis from North America to Israel, where they engaged in study, mentorship, and workshops focused on Zionism and leadership. Minister Amichai Chikli emphasized the importance of this initiative amid rising antisemitism and challenges to Jewish identity in North America, describing the program as essential for nurturing future Jewish leaders. With additional funding, the fellowship is set to expand and continue for at least two more years, reflecting growing interest and support from both Israeli and American donors. Organizers and participants highlighted the urgency of strengthening connections between American Jewry and Israel, especially in the aftermath of recent events impacting Jewish communities worldwide.
