Israel sees highest January temperature in 66 years

Israel experienced its highest January temperature in over six decades, with the Israel Meteorological Service reporting a peak of 29 degrees Celsius in Kibbutz Ein Hahoresh. Other regions, including the northern West Bank and Jerusalem mountains, also saw unusually warm conditions, reaching up to 28 degrees Celsius. This unseasonable warmth is expected to be short-lived, as meteorologists forecast a return to typical winter weather, including strong winds and heavy rain. Warnings have been issued for potential floods along the Mediterranean coast, the Dead Sea, and the Negev desert, with emergency services already responding to incidents earlier in the month.
